undefinedDarlington head to Bury this Saturday as Quakers look to build upon their win over Macclesfield Town last Friday night. The victory over the Silkmen has pushed Darlington into ninth place in the table and another positive result could see Quakers move into the play-off spots again.

Late September and early October have seen Bury have an upturn in their fortunes out on the pitch. Four points at home to Bristol Rovers (1-0) and Lincoln City (1-1) were followed up with a 2-0 away victory against Rushden & Diamonds. This positive string of results has seen the Shakers move off the foot of the League two table but assistant manager Mark Proctor is not fazed by Bury's good run of form.

"It doesn't really mater," Proctor told Quakers World earlier this week. "We were on an indifferent run but I am sure people were still apprehensive about coming and playing Darlington so again like I've said before whether we are playing top six or bottom six, lost the last six or won the last six they are all very difficult games. It's a game we are capable of winning and if we can take Friday night's form into Saturday's game we should do very well."

Quakers do face a number of injury headaches for the game. Both Jonjo Dickman and Anthony Peacock are doubtful for the match at Gigg Lane. Another player who is a real doubt for Saturday's game is winger Carlos Logan. Thanks to recent knocks Quakers could be without arguably two of their most creative midfielders. Quakers had to readjust for Logan's absence in the last game and it looks more than likely that they will have do so once more. Proctor knows that covering for any player is tough but especially a left sided one.

"We go with a game plan to win home and away which is what we want to do. Sometimes that game plan is dictated to by injuries and obviously with certain personnel not fit then we can not go with that shape or vice-versa," said Proc. "Left side is the key to it all because most clubs are heavily made up on right sided players and if you have right side injuries you can address it with shuffling players but sometimes with left siders you end up putting a right sider out there and you loose a little bit of balance. So Logan is going to be a problem, like he was the other night when he didn't play."

The Quakers assistant manager is giving little away as to which way Darlington will be shaping up for the game. Over the last few games Darlington have chopped and changed their formation and with the positive performances against Northampton and Macclesfield Town it has worked to good effect. Proctor believes the changes over recent weeks demonstrate a real flexibility in Quakers' approach to games.

"I don't know how the public perceive it with us changing," admitted Proctor. "I think the last three games we've played 4-4-2, 4-5-1 to 3-5-2 so we are certainly flexible and I think it is good that we can change the shape at the drop of a hat. We all understand what is happening and what is required in that particular shape so it all helps for the education of the players."

The match at Gigg Lane kicks off at 3.00pm on Saturday. Before the end of today Quakers World will be bringing you an interview with Chris Casper, Bury caretaker manager, about the game on Saturday and how things have been going for the opposition in general of late.
