Darlington v Leyton Orient

Danny Chillingworth in action for Quakers against Altrincham |
Darlington set themselves up perfectly in their previous match win three points over the Stags. One of the key things to getting something out of the Orient game was the prerequisite that Darlington secured all three points against lowly Mansfield in order to help give a solid base of confidence going into the match. Quakers did just that with a patient and careful performance after falling behind on Tuesday night.
With Scunthorpe starting to click away at the top of the table (a position Orient themselves occupied in mid October) a fight for the play-off places is looking increasingly likely. Only three points separate Darlington at the base of the play-off pack and Macclesfield at the top and as fans watching the live league tables on the net during Tuesday's match will testify it is amazing how much the positions can change in such a short space of time.
Leyton Orient will travel to Darlington with Cambridge United man Danny Chillingworth in their squad. The forward had a spell with Quakes a couple of seasons ago where he scored twice. He has already scored once against Darlington this season when Cambridge United visited the Williamson Motors Stadium and speaking on the Orient official website he is hoping to do it again.
"I went on loan to Darlington two seasons ago and scored there for Cambridge this season so hopefully I can emulate that again," he said. "Tommy Taylor phoned me about three weeks ago when I handed in my transfer request and said he'd give me a glowing report and hopefully I can make him right."
Leyton Orient's last outing came against Southend United which ended in a 2-2 draw and Orient player Donny Barnard called it two dropped points afterwards. Quakers skipper Neil Maddison meanwhile should be available to play against Orient. The midfielder picked up a calf strain in the win over Mansfield Town but seems to have recovered from his knock.
To all those making the journey from London have a safe trip up North and the same of course applies to our exiles. Full commentary is of course available on Quakers World with Ray Simpson on hand to guide you through the action as it happens. Full match report to follow on the site after the full time whistle along with Hodgy's views later in the evening.
