Neil Wainwright
Wainwright looking to continue good personal performance at the Vetch
Quakers return home following their midweek trip to Wales and Dave Hodgson is looking for a good performance after being left unimpressed by the another slow start to a second half. Given the close proximity of Lincoln City in the league table Darlington need to take points from this fixture to preserve or better their current league position of ninth in the table.

Darlington have yet to win more than two games in a row this season and following the draw against Yeovil Town in the cup and the defeat against Swansea in the league this is not a record that is going to be broken tomorrow when the two teams run out. Lincoln are having similar sorts of problems to Quakers. Just like Darlington Lincoln have not managed to win more than twice in a row.

One good thing to come from the game against Swansea was the performance from some of Darlington's fringe players. Neil Wainwright has been held up as an example by manager Dave Hodgson for his performance at the Vetch on Wednesday night. Speaking in the Northern Echo he said:

"Full credit to Wainwright because what he has done is come in and make it absolutely clear to me that he wants to be a part of my plans," said Hodgson. "Like everybody else, he has shown a fantastic attitude. Now it is up to him to prove he can perform like that week-in, week-out."

Lincoln's last match saw them in the North East to play Hartlepool United and were dumped out of the competition by three goals to nil. Quakers will be looking to send Lincoln back home from the area once again with zero points. The history books are on Darlington's side as well. Whilst Lincoln have managed a point in their previous two visits to Darlington before that they lost 2-1, 3-0 and 2-0.

The visitors are set to welcome back Peter Gain who missed the FA Cup tie against Hartlepool the previous weekend. That was the player's first game absent since January. However it is not quite such good news for Francis Green former Quakers' player Martin Carruthers who are still suffering from a knee and back injury respectively. Ciaran Toner is also absent with a groin strain.
