Darlington have a few concerns going into this weekend's game with Wycombe Wanderers but will be boosted by the loan signing of Lee Ridley. Tim Ryan is still missing with a hamstring problem, while Jon Brackstone has shin and back injuries however may still play. Right back Neil Austin is expected to miss out and it means that Ridley should become involved in some shape or form for this encounter with utility man Rob Purdie also capable of helping out at the back.

Quakers though will be able to call upon their loan signings for this game unlike their midweek FA Cup replay at Northampton. That means Ian Miller, Joe Colbeck and Richie Foran will all come back into the equation for the home side.

Wycombe are well placed however their start to the campaign has not been as dramatic as previous years. The last two seasons have seen the Chairboys start strongly but fade horribly towards the climax. Manager Paul Lambery, who masterminded a League Cup semi-final appearance last season, will be hoping it's the other way around this time. In recent weeks though Wycombe have struggled for goals with only three in their last four and it has prompted Lambert to look for additions - so far unsuccessfully. Despite this Darlington manager Dave Penney expects another tough test.

"It's important we get a result against Wycombe because after that we have got a ten day break until we play Grimsby," said Penney. "They (Wycombe) have been a decent side for the last two or three years I think, they generally start off very well and have tailed away. This season they're handily placed, like ourselves. It's a big game and it would be nice to put another three points between ourselves and them and consolidate ourselves in the top three."

"I think it's going to be one of those (leagues) where everybody can beat everybody. We've got to make sure we keep picking up points in every game that we play, we've done that in every game bar two, out of the sixteen, so it is important we keep on doing that. We've got a good home record and it's important we carry that on and it's important that we keep doing the right things," he continued.

Wycombe meanwhile is expected to be without David McCracken for the game. The versatile midfielder has been suffering from a calf injury and although he has returned to training but it not likely to be fit enough to face Darlington. Lambert is set to name the same side which triumphed over Lincoln last weekend as defender Will Antwi will continue after finally recovering from his long-standing groin problem.

Fellow defender Mike Williamson has started training with the first team this week after nine months out with a knee injury but will not be rushed back before Christmas. Meanwhile goalkeepers Scott Shearer and Jamie Young are both missing through injuries and it means that Wycombe will continue to rely on loan keeper Frank Fielding as the pair recover from their long lay offs.
