Darlington boss Dave Penney is looking to make Saturday's meeting with highly backed Peterborough United count. The game is the first of a double header of home matches at the Balfour Webnet Darlington Arena and following the disappointment at MK Dons last weekend Quakers will be aiming to return to winning ways.

Penney could contemplate a couple of changes as he aims to see his side do more attacking this time out. With Darlington's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Leeds the next five games see four fixtures take place on home soil and the Darlington boss is looking to get as many points as possible.

"We have to bounce back from last week, and the mood in training has been good. We started back at it on Monday," said Penney. "We have a lot of games coming in quick succession, four out of five are at home, and we have to make them count."

"Peterborough have some good players - we saw that last year. They have hungry players from the Conference and experienced players. It will be a tough game, but it has been a hard month and we are coming through it okay with just one setback. Tomorrow we are at home and we need to be more positive. There are a couple of things we can do to make sure we are, and we have been working on them in training this week."

The visitors will be particularly weary of Julian Joachim. The forward, who is currently operating on the right wing, has turned in some hard working performances of late to the delight of his manager. Last season the former Aston Villa man scored four times against Peterborough - twice at London Road and twice in the reverse fixture.

"Last week he was my Man of the Match, both going forward and defensively. He has been a breath of fresh air this season, both on the training ground and on the pitch in matches," said Penney. "He's adjusted to being here and we are getting the best out of him. It seems to suit him playing out wide where he can face the goal rather than have his back to it. But we also know what he can do as a striker, so he is a very important player for us."

Darlington will be without Neil Austin thanks to an ankle injury though Kevin McBride is fit again. Darren Ferguson's side face a few more problems. The visitors are without defender Shane Blackett (knee injury) and midfielder Josh Low (hamstring injury). Chris Westwood played in a midweek reserve game and could feature. So could defender Daniel Blanchett (ankle) and striker Craig Mackail-Smith (body alignment). Meanwhile in-form striker Danny Crow is a doubt after he suffered a calf strain. Sol Davis is also expected to miss the trip with a groin injury.
