David Stockdale determined to make Play-Off semi-finals
David Stockdale is determined to be in Play-Off semi-final action on Saturday despite suffering a badly bruised foot.
He suffered the injury five minutes into Saturday's 2-0 victory against Peterborough United and tried to play on but lasted just seven more minutes.
He left London Road on crutches, with his badly swollen foot showing the marks of Posh striker Aaron Maclean, though no blame was attached to the striker.
"I tried to play on but couldn't, but I can't miss the play-offs. The physio thinks the foot will settle down and I will work with him all week," said Stockdale.
"We've got that winning feeling back, and I'll take the clean sheet, 21 this season, even though I was only on the pitch 12 minutes."
Stockdale was replaced by Przemyslaw Kazimierczak, who had a solid debut and has been highly praised by manager Dave Penney.
